Krobo Fancy Powderglass Beads (Long Strand)

A beautiful strand of powder glass African beads, made by the people of Krobo Mountain (Ghana, West Africa ), resembling old Venetian FANCY trade beads. The strand is over 36″ long . Made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then into molds in order to create this nice looking beads. Decorations on the beads are made with a paste made of colored glass powder and water, which is applied using a thin wooden stalk. They are cooked a second time to fix the decor. Each strand is unique and may vary slightly from strand pictured.
